Boise Symposium Recap

Boise Symposium Recap

Last weekend, Team Members and guests gathered from all around to attend the Synergy Symposium in Boise, Idaho. These men and women were treated to a special business-building education, a panel of guest speakers, and a warm, energetic crowd.

“The enthusiasm was terrific,” said Synergy Founder Dan Higginson, one of the event’s guest speakers. “It was a group of great people who really are working hard to leave a legacy. You know, we talk all day at Synergy about team work and how the team mentality is the only way to really succeed. These people get it. They were there to help, encourage and learn from each other. It was great to see. It was great to be a part of the event.”

Dan Higginson was joined by Dan Austin of the High Desert Heart Institute, Presidential Executive Scott Brumfield, and other outstanding leaders. Each of them spoke to the crowd helping them better understand the Synergy Advantage. The enjoyable kick-off event was hosted on Friday night, and the main-event was held Saturday featuring in-depth trainings, helpful presentations, an enjoyable luncheon, and a high-value education.

Team Leader and Event Host Pamela Krajnik remarked: “The people there were feeling the passion so strongly. It was great to have the support from Synergy’s corporate team and everyone who came. There was so much emotion at the Symposium and such a high level of commitment. I’d say it was a great success.”

Synergy WorldWide thanks all of the Symposium attendees. Thank you for your time, your positivity and your success, present and future. Special thanks to Pamela Krajnik, to Bill Styles, to all the guest speakers, and to everyone who worked hard to make the event a success. We look forward to the great things that lie ahead of all who attended.

SLMsmart Success Follow Up: Paul Allred

SLMsmart Success Follow Up: Paul Allred

Before and Current.
Notice the same shirt being worn in both photos!

Earlier this year we published a story about a few of our fantastic Synergy corporate employees who had put the SLMsmart Weight Management System to the test. You may remember that Mr. Paul Allred (Web Marketing Manager, I.T. expert, devoted Real Salt Lake fan), at the end of the 90 day challenge, had lost 39 pounds. That remarkable transformation meant a loss of 11.9% of his starting body weight.

That may have been the end of the employee challenge, but it wasn’t the end of Paul’s determination or ambition. He didn’t stop. He hasn’t stopped. “The results are addicting,” said Paul. “Seeing the fat come off and making progress is really cool. I still had more to lose, so I’m still going.”

As of today, just six months after his first days of using SLMsmart, Paul is down 66 pounds total. That is 20.2% of his starting body weight!

“I feel great. My wife and I joke about the fact that I’ve lost the weight equivalent of my daughter-times-five. I can’t believe I used to be carrying that much weight around all the time.”

Paul has never doubted the power that the SLMsmart system has to help him achieve these results. “It’s so nice to have all the stuff you need to lose weight in one nice little package. That’s what the SLMsmart system is for me.”

“It really gave me a lot of motivation, especially at the start, which was when [losing weight] was the most difficult. Now, it doesn’t even seem that hard anymore, so I can keep going, no problem.”

Along with eating Essential Foods and using the products, Paul has found exercise to be incredibly enjoyable. One of Utah’s biggest soccer fans (though “biggest” hardly seems like the most accurate word these days), Paul spends time during the week on the field, participating in local soccer leagues and pickup games with friends and coworkers. As he has lost the weight, he’s gained endurance, speed and the ability to better enjoy the game.

More importantly, Paul feels healthier and better able to enjoy his family. “My wife is happy for me, and I feel better about the example I’m setting for my daughter. I did 90% of it for my daughter. I had to make some life changes and I didn’t want Nora to make the same choices I did when I was younger. So I made them and am now creating some good health values and an overall healthy atmosphere at home.”

All of us here at Synergy WorldWide are very excited for Paul and happy for the success he continues to earn. As he and others use SLMsmart to more effectively manage their weight, we wish them all the best as they enjoy the results and the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.

Thoughts from Synergy’s Newest Team Managers

Thoughts from Synergy’s Newest Team Managers

Last month we saw three of our North American Team Members rise up in ranks to the level of Team Manager. Hitting this important milestone on the Synergy Success Track is a wonderful step and we were happy to congratulate each one of them.

Now, as we approach the holidays, the end of 2013 and the beginning of a fresh new year, we asked these new Team Managers to share a few quick thoughts on their recent rank advancement and what lies ahead. Here are their responses:

Joy Matwyshen, the Villages, FL: “Richard and I began our business with a deep passion to help people with their health. Then we got the vision that we could only reach and help the masses by building a team and becoming a true leader. I made a serious commitment in October 2012 to build a strong organization. I declared on paper and in my heart that we would make Team Manager by December 2013 and 10k a month by the end of 2014. We beat the timing of our goal to make Team Manager by two months, and now our plan is to reach Team Director by April 2014 or before.

We also took the promotional challenges set in place by the company for 2013 very, very seriously. We never once said: ‘That’s too big, there isn’t enough time, we can’t possible make it, there’s no way,’ or any of those other negative statements people defeat themselves with. Instead we always said: ‘Okay, we can do this!'”

Sandra & Ed Kerner, Brown City, MI: “This is just the beginning. We love working with people and helping them change their lives. We are excited. We will be even more excited when we advance again.”

Roger & Stefanie Hunt, Pleasant Grove, UT: “My focus for the coming year is to make myself increasingly effective and to help as many people as I can to find the same satisfaction and success that I’ve been fortunate enough to find.

I’m very happy. I couldn’t have done it without my wife. We’re partners in this. It’s been great.”

7 Questions for Team Director Lee Edwards

7 Questions for Team Director Lee Edwards

After his most recent rank advancement, Lee Edwards has proven to be a Team Member with a fire burning inside of him. This year we’ve seen him rise up in ranks, retire from a long career of professional plumbing, reach his goal of attending Leadership Academy, add points to his Top 50 Challenge Totals and win prizes along the way. So, as we come close to the end of 2013, we sent Lee an email containing seven important question. Here is his reply:

1. In May you became Team Manager, and now in just five short months you’ve advanced to the rank of Team Director. What advice would you give to others trying to create the same kind of momentum?

It has been an amazing year. The simplicity of this work is work! You need to go out and sponsor and find a system to help teach, train and retain those you put in. With the quality of product we have, and the support corporate gives,  Synergy Worldwide makes it very easy to bring people in! Also, I’ve adopted an RI training system and it has really increased my confidence to move forward at this accelerated rate.

2. Back in July you celebrated an exciting retirement, but it doesn’t appear that you’ve adopted a lifestyle of daily-golf and afternoon-naps. What gives?

Ha! Well, I’m not where I want to be yet. I have many aspirations and goals, and so I’m constantly growing and changing to continue on this amazing journey. The other big driving force is the many people I have sponsored that I don’t want to let down. So, I will continue working for my business and to support theirs! My father didn’t raise me to make money then go golf it away I guess!

3. You recently won another Kindle Fire in the monthly Top 50 Challenge. You’re also currently in the top 10 for total-yearly points. In May, you told us the secret to racking up these points was a heavy focus on sponsoring new Team Members. Is that still your strategy?

As I stated earlier, there is no other way to grow your business and be successful without going out and sponsoring yourself. I still have a heavy focus on sponsoring and it actually is fun to show people a better way to get health and wealth!

4. It’s probably a safe bet to say you’ve earned your spot on the Synergy trip to Cancun. Who is more excited, you or your wife Crystal?

Well, I believe right now I am the most excited to go to Cancun. I’m not sure that it has settled into reality with my wife yet! Have no fear though. I’m sure she will gladly go to Cancun and look for a nice, relaxing few days. I actually have bought my flight tickets because my excitement is so great!
5. Other than Cancun, what are your plans for next year?

Well, we have an amazing Thanksgiving holiday coming up. We have wonderful plans to spend time with our families which is exactly what I’m thankful for. After that we will be of course going down to San Francisco to the BYU bowl game to support my cougars! Then Cancun, and of course Disneyland will fit in during the next year. Then, I am looking forward to qualifying for more trips and contests that Synergy puts on and partying even more!

6. This may be the most important question. What is your “why?” Or in other words, what is the reason you are working so hard to build your Synergy business?

WOW! I love this question because this is the most powerful and moving question that we all need to have an answer to. My WHY, which has grown since retiring, was that I wanted to take my kids to school each day and be with my family more. Now my WHY has continued from there to wanting a brand new Razor ATV 4-seater with many upgrades! Also, to continue forward with vacations and some serious monthly residual income! I would put an amount there but the numbers on my keyboard won’t go that high!
7. Any holiday plans to wrap up a successful 2013?

I am very excited to have a holiday season with my family like I’ve never had before— I will be able to spend the entire holiday with my wife and kids and won’t have to go unplug someone’s kitchen sink, or fix someone’s boiler because its cold. See, Synergy Worldwide has totally changed the quality of my holiday season because I will be able to relax and spend those days without the concern of hearing my phone ring. I won’t have to look into my wife’s eyes and say “sorry” one more time as I leave to go work. Those days are so gone! I can’t wait to celebrate in a way that I have never even been able to consider before!
